This page describes the Media Explorer (BACKCLICK 5.9.79 and later), which replaces the former AjaXplorer-based media management.
Folders organise a client’s media (e.g. by campaign, topic or year). The folder structure mirrors the physical Media_<client> directories on the server – image URLs in newsletters that have already been sent remain valid.
Creating folders
New folder in the header bar creates a subfolder inside the currently open directory.
Rename, move, copy, delete
- Rename: select the folder → Rename in the action bar (or context menu).
- Move / copy: choose the target folder in the dialog; also works for multi-selections.
- Delete: removes the folder including its contents – after a confirmation prompt.
Deleted folders and files cannot be restored from the interface. Do not delete or move images that are referenced in newsletters that have already been sent – recipients’ mails keep loading them from the original URL.
Client separation
Every user only sees the media of their own client. Superusers can deliberately switch into the media library of another client.
